Portland, CT 06480 Daniels Team: At the end of September, you completed installation of a new boiler/ indirect water heating system in our home, including a new oil tank. We are so happy with the experience we had working with Daniels, we just had to send along a sincere note of thanks and appreciation. Having lived in our home for 37+ years, we’ve made many improvements over the years and take pride in our home. When we were faced with having to replace our old heating system, we were a bit daunted with the project size, scope, and timing, especially with fall and winter approaching. From the beginning, our interactions with the Daniels team has been nothing short of outstanding.
The administrative staff that oversees the “front lines” with incoming calls from customers is something that Daniels should be proud of! Each time we called with an inquiry, question, or follow up, we were greeted with friendly, knowledgeable staff that ensured resolution of issues, answers to questions, all with a pleasant, caring attitude (shout out to Tina and Lori)!
For the job estimation, Ron arrived and evaluated our needs, listened to our inputs, and then suggested several options for us. He answered all our questions, and provided very helpful information. He was thorough, responsive, and personable! His guidance helped us to ultimately select Daniels over at least four other proposals we had received from other companies. Along with an excellent referral from a close friend of ours, we felt we made the right choice.
Alanna was the next person we worked with … she was very informative about the installation schedule, the sequence of activities for the job, etc. She was able to give us a good sense of what to expect, and was absolutely delightful to interact with! Alanna never got tired of being contacted for questions, even after the job was completed. She ensured all follow ups were promptly addressed.
For the installation, we had an awesome team: Jim, John, Caleb (Clyde!), and Brian. We were so impressed with how hard they worked, their focus, their talent, their respect for each other – and how well they worked together! John’s skills were impressive. Jim’s experience was undeniable. Caleb seemed to be in the right place at the right time to help, assist, and do whatever else was needed, all with a great attitude.
It was interesting watching the progress, and nice the team didn’t seem to mind our curiosity as we watched them execute their craft! They carefully considered where to place things, how to effectively navigate in and out of our home to minimize disruptions, etc. Even when challenged with identifying the best way to connect to the new oil tank given the complexity of our home, they took time to identify the best alternative and confirmed the approach with Rob. Wow – what a team!
Last week, the town building inspector was in our home to review the work that was completed. He signed off on the new system and also commented on the quality of materials and workmanship completed by Daniels. Wow – was that nice to hear!
We feel very fortunate to have selected Daniels to install our new heating system, and have now signed on as an oil delivery customer as well. We are new and happy customers. Hats off to the Daniels team!

ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL
I had the pleasure of working with Daniels Oil Co. for installation of a Mitsubishi ductless a/c system on 7/21/20. From initial home evaluation with Brian, update communication with Alana and the actual installation with Rob Bass’ team, everyone was professional, respectful, knowledgeable, competent and extremely efficient. Brian of Daniels went beyond the call to assist in my installation request to the HOA of my condo association. Brian took the time to talk with the president of the association to educate and answer their questions and concerns. After an initial denial and some educational persistence, the installation was approved. I will be forever grateful to Daniels Oil for making this luxury a reality. GREAT EMERGENCY SERVICE WHILE AWAY
This email is long overdue to express our sincere thanks to your company and especially your service department for outstanding support and service for several issues we had with our heating unit in the last 6 months. Not only were all of our service calls promptly and professionally handled and the issues fixed, but the sincere concern and emphasis on ‘service’ was especially appreciated for the March service calls as we were in Florida for the winter and asked you to deal with our neighbor to schedule the calls for access to our home. I want you to know that our neighbor reported that for all of the calls to fix the March problem, she was contacted in advance to ensure she was available for the scheduled time and she noted to us that each of your agents was courteous, kept her informed of progress and any need to go elsewhere in the house and why and thanked her for her time.
In addition to the initial March issue of no heat, once it was clear there was a leaking pipe and a plumber would be required, your home office contacted us in Florida and provided an estimate and option to use your staff to fix the leak the next day (assuming our neighbor was available to let you in) thereby relieving us of a search for a plumber which would have been difficult at best from Florida. Arrangements were made and the leak was repaired.
Below are the dates of all of the service calls this thank you note relates to. We also want to note that in all of our dealings with your company and staff, we have always had a positive feeling we were treated as a valued customer including when trying to get the best price for oil and service when needed. We will remain your customer and will continue to tout your company for others.
